[edit] Ingredients
- 350g plain flour
- 1tsp ground ginger
- 1tsp bicarb
- 175g soft light brown sugar
- 100g butter
- 4 Tbsp golden syrup
- 1 egg
[edit] Method
Sieve flour bicarb and ginger together then rub in the butter.
Add the sugar and mix. warm syrup to make it easier to spoon and add this and the beaten egg to the mix, stir till starts to form a ball then kneed on a floured surface.
Roll out to about 4mm thick and cut into desired shapes and place on floured baking trays.
Cook on Gas mark 5, 190 degrees for 10-15 mins till done and leave on rack to cool.
