Gingernut Ranger

The Gingernut ranger is a hybrid chicken-ginger in colour with medium sized comb and wattle.They are always female created from a male Rhode island red and a light Sussex.

They start off with bright yellow legs when young and as the bird matures at around 20-22 weeks-they turn much paler.The wattle & comb will also grow bigger and turn scarlet red.Soon after this-she will start laying large brown eggs.

They become very tame when handled regulary and are perfect for novice chicken owners as they activly enjoy being around humans because of the treats they receive.They get along fine with domestic pets and will often be found stalking dogs for their food.
