I have just received my eglu cube with two chickens and they seem loath to go up the stairs into the top area. It is quite a jump up to the bottom step. I have put a brick at the bottom of the ladder to aid their little lets, but has anyone else had a problem with this? or am I being stupid and the chickens will naturally go up when it starts to get dark?

I am a little anxious as well as I have to catch my two little Bantam Silkies to put them into the eglu cube tonight to meet with the two new chickens. Already one has escaped but walked back in luckily but I am very nervous of loosing them again. Is there any thing I should be doing, rather than just reaching in and grabbing them please? they are in a triangle type henhouse with a wooden sleeping/laying area at one end and netting inbetween another wooden area at the other end.

Help please.
